The miqo'te prefers to maintain an air of callous detachment from his surroundings, but his dour mood cracks far more frequently than he would care to admit. Life in Eorzea certainly seems to carry more levity than he expected, and his heart frequently prevents him from dismissing such encounters.Maelstrom Contractor.
The Abyss presents a challenging combat environment for those not explicitly trained in operating in the ocean at such a depth. Kei'van is one such combatant, and as such has been contracted by the Maelstrom as part of a specialized unit - with a (mostly honorary) rank befitting of his station. Spotting the miqo'te in uniform isn't wholly uncommon. Perhaps you even spotted him amidst the crew of the Beggar's Choice - an older monster hunting vessel flying under Limsa Lominsa's colors.Echoes of an Echo.
While he is one of the rare individuals in possession of the unique ability known as the Echo, its manifestation within him leaves much to be desired. Flashbacks and foresight are weak at best, typically indistinguishable from idle daydreaming or a gut feeling - but he might be spurred to act on this information nonetheless.Persona non grata in Garlemald.
Like other dark knights, Kei'van gives off a distinct aetherial signature in the heat of combat - and while he may have been of rather low priority for the empire as an individal, his was a silhouette reviled among Garlemald's soldiers for good reason. Garlean Empire refugees and sympathizers may not take too kindly to his presence.(WIP - More to come.)
